It's absurd that Natural Disasters makes you watch your forests and city burn to the ground because it doesn't have an early-game solution to forest fires.

This depot and my Small Firewatch tower both unlock in the same milestone as the small fire house.

It won't solve ALL your problems, but it'll give you a fighting chance. I'd still recommend adjusting the fire spread rate, but it sounds like the mod to adjust that may be broken at the moment.
