描述
Version 1.01 - fixed a typo in the treasure file that could cause issues. Hideaway Hollow Compatible!

Do you have a world with no dragonflies? Do you want more bugs? Do you want a butterfly garden? (Don't use this to make a butterfly garden, please. There's a better way to do that.)

You want a Bug Spawner Spawner!

If you place this item nearly anywhere in Staxel and then pick it up again, the next day a bug/fossil/snail will spawn! Nifty! And will keep spawning there, every day after for forever!

You don't get to pick the bug, and you won't be able to make a spot STOP spawning bugs unless you put something in the spot or make it inhospitable to bugs by removing any surrounding wood, flowers, grass, bricks or pond water. (Practically everything. Bugs don't like carpeting though, so you could put down that.)
You're not 100% guaranteed a bug/fossil/snail, but most of the time you'll get one.

Does not work on fireflies, fairy or tropical bugs and likely never will.

THESE ARE PERMANENT! BACK UP YOUR GAME BEFORE USING THEM. YOU CAN'T EVER GET RID OF ONE OF THESE. IF A BUG CAN SPAWN IN THE SPOT ONE LIKELY WILL.

Also: Don't spam this. It can actually cause weird loading issues if you have too many bugs in one chunk. Give yourself 2-4 in an area and then move on to somewhere else. Exceeding 10 new spawns within your view distance is not advised. Use at your own risk. You did back up your save, right?

But, yeah the May eggs would trigger it too. Normally the base game doesn't let you place april eggs, it just spawns them in. Designating a block where you place all consumable items you intend to use is probably your best bet to minimize this issue. I'll put it on my list to look at for easterfest.

That's actually a bug in the base game. The bug spawner exploits that glitch. it doesn't actually change anything with how the game works or how April eggs work. It just creates an item that lets you control the effect at will.

I downloaded this to add a few extra bug spots to my farm so I don't have to keep going all over just for bugs and stuff, but I never directly placed any... I actually placed down a few April eggs (gotten from the easter festival mod) and suddenly my front porch is covered in bug spawns! So uh...something to know for anyone planning on downloading it in 2025

this adds an item to the creative menu, so you have to be in creative mode to use it. (that will consequently disable achievements.) A work around for missing dragonflies: get yourself a square of pond water, a shovel, and a convenient cricket you don't care about keeping. break the block UNDER the cricket. The cricket will vanish. Put the pond water in the hole you just made. Tomorrow you should have a dragonfly there.

How to get pond water: Pond water isn't in the catalog in vanilla and you can't unlock it there. Any surface water on your main island that isn't the ocean is pond water. (There's a tiny bit of ice water in the mine.) You can also find it in the Fall festival maze every year (this respawns yearly so you do have an infinite source of pond water, even if it's slow.) Jamie's final quest location also has pond water in it, so bring a stack of sponges with you before you go talking to his quest NPCs because you can't go back once you're done.

So, is that mod disabling achievements? I see tag "cheats", but what exacly I have is a world without dragonflies and I was looking for something like this.

If you plant a bug somewhere you don't want it to be inside a house the best solution is to put carpet underneath it.
