This thing came in handy in our robotic mission to a foreign planet so I figured others might have some use for it as well.

The Mars Orbital Relay Probe is a simple drone intended to act as an uplink between Earth and other celestial bodies.

Get it to orbit by any preferred means, configure laser antenna and launch it towards a GPS point 45-43km above intended planet. Enable autopilot to said GPS, set action "deploy MORP" to be done when it reaches destination. Lasts for 91 days more or less acting as a long distance relay projecting a 50km bubble around it at destination at 1000km distance, your mileage may vary. For vanilla planet distances you may want to have a midway relay as well or the powerdraw might exceed what the MORP can output.

If you use manual control to look around, be careful not to cut the LOS of laser antenna by turning too much or the probe could get stranded

It houses 42MW worth of energy production for the laser antenna, comes preloaded with uranium and is ready to go out of the box. Operates in zero-g only.

They're not, didn't deem them interesting enough for publication since they were just decor pieces for my own world. It was just a circle with a spinny thing in the centre and carbon texture for crop, but if you want I can recreate those and put em up.
