For me my biggest issue when starting a new game is controlling my energy, this fixes that issue for me almost entirely. Granted it's because I choose to eat my berries instead of making a fishing trap so I can wait until I get the Carpentry skill, but hey, at least it's a more viable strategy now.

just me and my forager pal, sitting by the campfire as night descends. I with a book open, reading, while they wait to go forth upon the rising sun back into the fray.
