Rock Island EMD E6 Golden Rocket

The Rock Island Line, formally known as the Chicago Rock Island & Pacific Railroad, was a Class I railroad that operated in the Midwest United States. The company bankrupted several times through the 1960s and 1970s due to the overall decline of railroads in the US. Eventually they finally went under in 1980, most of their mainlines went to the Union Pacific, and the Iowa Interstate Railroad.

The locomotives are modeled after their absolutely gorgeous EMD E6 locomotives. The passenger train is named after the proposed Golden Rocket that would have run between Chicago and Los Angeles with help from Southern Pacific for the Western half of the journey.



Comes with automatic engine reverse feature: spawns the engine in front of the direction the train goes. comes with custom sound effects for movement and horn.
imported with a prototype mod to reduce the texture compression in game so the file size is large

Train functions as a regular passenger train but due to its length some additional consideration might be needed when setting up passenger stations for it. Consult the "How to use very long passenger trains, building station complex" by REV0
