TLDR: Yes, this mod should do exactly what you want it to do.


IIRC, tombstones are essentially separate objects / buildings that have an expiration date, independent of the cemetery (which is just an area that allows new tombstones to spawn). This mod shortens their lifespan, clearing them out faster, so you can use the same cemetery for a larger population, for example.

Tombstones do decay in the vanilla game, even in an active cemetery. It's hard to notice because new ones will take their place, as long as the cemetery is there.


All that said, I'm not sure if my mod will affect the old tombstones you already have in your save. Best to use another mod to clear the old ones first (it's a great mod to have, in any case):

Will this mod remove tombstones in active graveyards after 2 years, or do you have to delete the graveyard first? I'm looking for a mod that will decay tombstones IN a graveyard, so I can drop the hassle of renewing one of my 2 graveyards every 5-10 years.
