No Wind Sound

Disables the ambient wind sound effect (the constant howling noise while zoomed out). Now the sound only plays over mountains, and its volume is much lower.


wooh, wooOOooh.

wooOOOOOOOOOOOOOoshh, wooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOoOo oosh.

That sound. You might be thinking that's a ridiculous description. Or, you might be thinking "OMG that is the most accurate description of that annoying sound I keep hearing!" It's all a matter of how much it's been bothering you.

This mod disables that sound, simple as that. It's loud. It's constant. It's repetitive. And now, it's GONE.
(And to top it all off, it's badly looped: There's a little 'hiccup' when it restarts; once you notice it, it cannot be un-noticed.)

Now you can crank up the ambient sound and enjoy nature's (and your town's) voices in peace.


- Should be compatible with anything, as long as they don't change the exact same things.

- Pairs well with my No Fog mod.


I was going to remove it entirely, but then regions with only naked mountains and no other sound emitters would become completely, unnaturally silent. So, a little mountain-specific 'woosh' was left in, with reduced volume.
