Created originally to replace the Lebel rifle,it never actually was able to do it due to the high production numbers of the Lebel and the quantity of French reservists.In WW2 they were the standard rifle of the French army,though when the war started the Lebels were called back into service and also saw use.It was used in WW1,the Spanish Civil War,the Polish Soviet war,the Rif war,and in the Greek-Turkish war (At least in the period that attains us).

VARIANTS:

-1915 (Less ammo,faster reload)
-1916 (More ammos,slower reload)
-M34
-Chauchat (Way more ammo,a bit slower)

STATS:

-Damage->115 (1 shot in close quarters)
-Loaded ammo->3 (1915 variant), 5 (1916 variant)m 20+1 (Chauchat)

The 3-shot carbine should be more correctly named M1892 instead of M1915 to avoid confusion with the M1907/15 Rifle

@Mellamomellamo yeah i understand but i think one day a berthier collection could be very cool, there is so much variants of this weapon that isnt very famous but really was widely spread
