描述
This fix revives the 'News' tab that's been broken for years now; It will automatically get latest updates as long as the source is updated.

You can also add a custom news source for yourself! Example:

You run a clan and have your own servers, so, you can host your own page with latest news and everyone who sets the Host in their MOTD_Config.ini; That's it!

Instructions are in the .ini but i will make a clear guide on how to write your own news, because some limitations in the game do not allow normal HTML format and it can be a little tricky to do so

Usage

MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR KFGui.U FIRST

1- Subscribe or download manually
2- Launch the game and wait to see 'Completed'
3- Restart the game and check your news tab

Notes & Known Bugs

- (workaround) If you are inserting URLs, please put them as HTTP, they will automatically be converted to HTTPs
- (bug) Clicking on the screen then trying to see the hover text over URLs again doesn't work, you will have to switch tabs e.g Click on any other tab than news, then go back to news and it should work fine

Call for help or contribution

I am very welcome to anyone who wants to contribute and remove the limitations stated above, or introduce any fixes! I need assistance with:

- Changing the logic of this fix, instead of replaceing KFGui.u
- Possibly creation of a mutator for it

This is really old and you probably need to re-host the back-end file.

It doesn't really work. When I try to refresh after a while it says it couldn't reach the KF Master Server. :/

Problem is, it won't work if it was a modern HTML/CSS. Unreal script doesn't know how to render everything.

But yes, yes they could. Hosting like a txt file or whatever they had BEFORE it was broken is as simple as updating 5 lines of code or hosting a file on their own servers, that's it.

Wait, could someone literally host an HTTP file on their own website and have it display to everyone who plays the game?

Ikr xd they can literally host their http for free on some shady ass website and it can be fixed.. but the difference between this "Fix" and hosting a file is the HTMLBox used.

It renderes some links and hyperlink hints with some text formatting and coloring. That's all. (In addition to fixing the host as well).

TWI being TWI never ceases to amaze me.
