Crown Roller Mill

About the building:
The Crown Roller Mill was constructed from 1879-1880 on the western banks of the Mississippi river in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Crown Roller Mill, along with the Pillsbury "A" Mill (constructed in 1881) and Washburn "A" Mill (constructed in 1874) helped Minneapolis become the world leader in flour production, to the tune of producing over 14% of the world's flour in 1900.

The Mill ran off of power and water generated from Saint Anthony Falls, similar to the other flour mills in the Minneapolis Mill District, and has generators installed after a period of low water.
