描述

Note: This addon only works with trouble in terrorist town (TTT). This addon works best with addons that introduce a jester or similar role, like Custom Roles for TTT or Town of Terror.

Description

This weapon is purchasable by traitors from the buy menu. While looking like an M16, it does no damage upon firing. This allows the traitor to mislead other terrorists into thinking they are the jester (or similar), lulling them into a false sense of security.

Acknowledgements

This is my first addon for Garry's mod and I mostly used it to start to learn lua coding. It's honestly pretty straightforward; it took me more time to make the icon and work out how to upload to the workshop.

Hi, I noticed an issue with how this is set up. Since the code for it is in "entities/weapons/shared.lua" which is a common path, it's being overwritten by some other addon. This makes it so this gun doesn't get loaded and doesn't show in the shop.

The fix is pretty easy, you just have to rename "shared.lua" to something like "weapon_ttt_jestergun.lua".
Also while you're in there, can you please change "SWEP.Primary.Automatic = false" to "SWEP.Primary.Automatic = true" so it's full-auto like the real M16?

This is a really cool idea! Is it possible to update it to be a fully automatic M16 though? Currently it's single fire, which can make it a bit obvious if someone shoots. Traitors can also be told to "shoot the gun fast" and if they can't, people know they're a traitor

Could you edit it so you are able to hold left click to shoot, like with the normal M16?
