Sherri Martel

Sherri Martel started training as a wrestler in the 70's before and broke in with the AWA in 1985. During her two year tenure in the AWA, Sherri won three AWA World Women's Championships in addition to managing Buddy Rose and Doug Somers.

In 1987, Sherri signed with the WWF. She debuted in July and defeated her former trainer, The Fabulous Moolah, for the WWF Women's Championship, and held the title for well over a year. During her reign, she changed her ring name to Sensational Sherri.

A few years later, as women's wrestling in the WWF was phased out, Sherri became a full time manager, taking on clients over the next several years such as Randy Savage, Ted DiBiase, and Shawn Michaels.

Sherri left the WWF in 1993 and mde appearances in SMW and ECW before landing in WCW, where she would go on to manage Ric Flair and Harlem Heat.

Sherri was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2006.
