Creeps in the Deeps

Need to chill down in the summer? Wanna do some snorkeling? Fancy some fresh fish for dinner?

The mod “Creeps in the Deeps” introduces another region to the current world of DST: the Underwater! With new craftables, items and life down in the ocean, there will plenty to explore for the brave souls. Players will have to gear up and venture down into the deeps to discover the treasures hidden below. But beware... you might run out of breath on the way down!

In order to access the deeps, you will have to look for the custom underwater entrance found somewhere in the map. Once found, the fissure will giving you the ability to access the deeps!

New Mechanics:

Oxygen: When diving underwater you will also have to deal with this new mechanic ! Building better gear for diving will allow you for longer periods underwater, otherwise bubbles are a good option too ! If you the character is hit by mobs underwater, the hit will cause it to loose a part of the oxygen storage.

New Mobs

Clam:

Tempting you with its pearly treasure this mob will be very resilient and hard to kill. Its a static mob but its external protection make it impossible to kill while hiding.

Squid:

Funny wobbly creatures that float around with no precise aim. Very quick but nor aggressive mob which likes to live where the current is strong

Eel:

Back in the days you could fish them from ponds. These creatures are extremely fast and territorial, will attack if you're not careful and get to close. They love to sit and wait in the kelp forest.

Stingy Jellyfish:

Similar to its SW sister, this mob is not aggressive but getting close might get you electrocuted ! If attacked nearby individuals will aggregate and attack the player.

Shrimps:

Defenseless and harmless, these chaps will be found around the reef stationing in certain places.

Common Fish:

Ever wondered where those pond fish of the surface live ? Well, you'll find them swimming around here ! Difficult to catch but will provide a steady food resource.

Underwater Tentacle:

Cousin of its surface normal tentacle they will be awaiting for you. Careful where you step on !

Needlenosed Squirt:

Seagrass:

Very common, will substitute the surface grass. Possibility for it to be edible as well.

Kelp:

Long and tall underwater "Kelp" will provide the player with enough food, but be carefull because kelpy creatures can appear near it.

Sea cucumber:

Defenseless rare treat with high protein value.

Sponges:

Quite useful to build vests, material and objects with no neutral buoyancy. This is what you will need to craft some diving gear for the underwater.

Corals:


Of different colors and forms, will be the main source for coral fragments. Can be mined but will take a relatively long time to regrow as collecting them will cause them to bleach.

New Wearables

Snorkeling Kit:


Light form of oxygen providing kit for the brave explorer. Provides little oxygen to last you for a short dive. Can be stored on the surface.

Swimsuit (summer/winter):

Made to cool you in summer and warm you in winter. Even while diving you'll have the chance to be as comfy as possible

Pearl Amulet:

A must for diving lovers. Will provide full oxygen levels at the cost of little sanity.
