L4D Cinematic Intro and Background Replacement

Did you prefer the L4D cinematic intro over the L4D2 cinematic intro? Or have you ever wanted it when you boot up the game? Have you ever wished for the original L4D backgrounds over the ones given by L4D2? Well, I did too! As an avid fan of L4D from way back in the Xbox days, I wanted this ever since I essentially made L4D2 into L4D with mods.


Just clicking the Subscribe button will not install this mod. It does take a little bit of work, not much though.

• Install GCFScape from the internet.
  
• Find this mod in your "steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\addons\workshop" folder and open it.
  
• If you wish to only have the L4D intro and not the L4D2 intro, then rename the file from valve.bik to l4d2_intro.bik. If not, then leave it the same.
  
• Move the .bik files to "steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\media" and replace the valve.bik and the background.bik files already there.
  
• Now, load up your game and enjoy the cinematic and backgrounds!

I know there are other mods like this, that I believe do the exact same thing. However, I've only ever seen them seperated. If you are an avid fan of L4D1 like I was/am, then I'm sure you'll enjoy this.
