Common Good Conservatism

The Conservative Consensus since the days of Reagan, the fusionism with libertarian tendencies, has proven to be an ideology lacking in ability to counter liberalism in the culture, protect the American middle and working classes, and maintain families and faith. The Conservative Consensus failed to protect or pursue the common good. The excesses of unrestrained trade and the free market, and a Conservative fear of using government to maintain culture has allowed America to spiral downward. Common Good Conservatism seeks to rectify these failures. By discarding the fusionist consensus and using state power the same way they see liberals do, the proponents of this ideology aim to reinforce and rebuild a Christian, anti-degenerate culture, as well as bolster families and main street, not globalist elites and corporate America. Essentially, use the government to promote what proponents see as the common good.
