Fallout: New Vegas - Ranger Power Armor

New set of cosmetic armor ported from the 'Ranger Power Armor' mod made for Fallout: New Vegas.

The original mod and its assets were made by the modder vivanto.

All I did was Re-Rig, weight paint, and update textures to make use of the PBR materials.


Content

(Only Male assets ported currently, no future plans to change that)

1 - Helmet
3 - Upper/Lower props consisting of BoS, Legion, and NCR shoulder banners with cloth physics
1 - Torso
1 - Left and Right shoulder
1 - Left and Right arm
1 - Legs

(Should work for XCOM, Reaper, Templar, Skirmisher units)


Permission?

Vivanto expressed on the original mods page that it is ok to use their mod assets as long as credit is given/a pm sent; However if the original mod creator expresses a want to take this mod down for whatever reason I will follow suit.

His Colossus XV power armor mods would be be amazing armor sets to have in Xcom, but again, that would only be possible if the original mod author gives his blessings, which depends on whether or not the owners of the resources the guy used are okay with it. It can be quite the hassle sometimes with multi author mods to the point of not being worth it, I learned that fact from personal experience myself. But hey, you never know, we might end up seeing more of these mod ports in the future, nothing wrong with a little hope every now and then.

Fantastic idea, but we may have to wait awhile, or at the very least settle with vanilla Fallout 3/New Vegas armors for the foreseeable future.
Like what Majoras Vox mentioned before, he needs the Mod creators' permission before he can do that. Here's an example, I know of a modder on the nexus going by the name Daejones, he made The Colossus/XV series Power armor Mods, the coolest, most badass power armor collections to have ever Graced the Capital Wasteland and the Mojave. He has mentioned on one of his mod pages that he would be happy to let others use his power armor mods, but you have to contact him first because his armors use textures and resources from other modders.

Would love to see you port other fallout assets/Mod assets. New Vegas in Xcom would make dreams come true, keep up the good work.

That's all too bad, but I can see how that would cause problems on both ends. Either way, here's hoping that we see more armor mods from you in the future.

@kenanthebarbarian - It's just how it is, the visual bug goes away right after though so there's no issues

@Mark - Glad you are enjoying the mod, I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to port those as I would need permission do to so from the orignal mod creator. In this case the permissions were there before I put this for public use

Great armor mod, Xcom 2 really deserves more power armor mods. If you are planning to do more Fallout power armor mod ports, I know of a few Fallout 3/New Vegas Power armor mods on the nexus you might be interested in.
