I come here after using this mod for a whole play-through. As we choosed to play a 3-team of 2 game in neutral/war opposition, this helped quite a lot. Just a few things i would post:
- While quest exp is given to the one finishing the quest, fighting exp is given to the host's team. Overall, it still didn't feel like we were behind on xp compared to a vanilla game.
- The lvl 21 was not shared with the group, had to take out Cheat Commander to make sure everyone had the same level.
- On the very last PvP fight for Divinity, people killed were respawned immediately at the beginning of the act (down the stairs of Lucian's crypt) and are still in the fight. This effectively split the fight in two unreachable different places, while keeping it in the same turn-combat.
Again thanks for this mod that helped us realize this neutral stance game with duels and cooperation.
This means there can still be an XP deficit, but it's decreased. This can be mitigated with "more enemy" mods if you'd like.
1. Does it set their XP to the same XP as the one(s) whom initiated the level up, therefore sync-ing their levels proper/consistently?
2. Or does it force the next level, with variant XP amounts between the parties potentially meaning one party is slightly closer to reaching the next level up?
My question specifically being: Say Party 2 is 3/4 of their way to next level, Party 1 queues a level up from combat, quest, or discoveries, is Party 2 still an amount of progress towards next level or are both Parties on the New Level with newly synced XP?
Followup, since XP can be gained asynchronously, does this mean a playthrough of the game's main story would make the players overall lose out on total XP/Levels? Considering one party may gain XP that another doesn't, but then is canceled out if 1 is the method used. And if 2 is used, it'd likely not be a clean formula.
So it's still somewhat of an issue but much less so than before.
It'd be cool to make a mod that knocks out the split XP entirely but if I recall correctly there were some difficulties with that.
With 1 person with a 4-man and the other with lonewolf?
