Ah yes, converting L4D2 to L4D Beta one mod at a time.

I've been itching for some Turtle Rock content so I made my own. This addon replaces the loading screen with a 4k wallpaper depicting Turtle Rock's survivors from the original Left4Dead.

If you just subscribe to this addon, then the boot-up loading screen will NOT be replaced. If you WOULD like to make the image replace the boot-up loading screen, you can follow these instructions by PonureZapomnienie, who made other loading screen mods that inspired me to make this one so check them out!

  1. Subcribe it
  2. Turn on Game to install
  3. Go to: Steam/Steam apps/Common/Left 4 Dead 2/Left4Dead2/Addons/Workshop
  4. Copy vpk file having same name as add ons thumbnail
  5. Go to Steam/Steam apps/Common/Left 4 Dead 2 and make folder with whatever name for example 'Loading'
  6. Paste that vpk file and change it name to: 'pak01_dir.vpk'
  7. Go to Steam/Steam apps/Common/Left 4 Dead 2/Left4Dead2 and find text file named 'gameinfo.txt'
  8. Above Game Update type Game (Name of folder for example 'Loading')
  9. Thats All :D
After that you can unsubscribe from this addon if you like.

It's not even that necessary of an addon but every little bit helps I guess lol. 5 years later and this is what I upload

If this dont work, you need to name the file pak01_dir without .vpk :steamhappy::steamthumbsup:

If anybody knows how to remake this mod with reduced file size, lmk. 26mb for a loading screen isn't ideal lmao
