Developed in 1937 to replace the underpowered Type 91 grenade,the Type 97 was like the average fragmentation grenade of the time.It was underpowered compared to grenades like the American Mk2,and it was also less safe,but it was very quick to prime (detach the safety and hit the top with a hard object) and relatively easy to throw


STATS:

-Damage->600 in a 9 meter radius
-Loadded ammo->5 grenades

Most if not all Type 97's use a String for the pin

Then it'd be a bit weird since you'd have to carry a rock on your left hand at all times xd

oh, i personally would have made it hit a rock (as rocks are harder and are a tiny bit quicker) but helmet works too

If you look at the throw animation, you hit your own helmet with it. Hans and I decided that'd make the most sense, specially since we had recently watched Letters from Iwo Jima, where they do that on the suicide scene

I understand, it was just most of the grenade pins cannot be pulled out with teeth because it's impossible.

Type 97 pins are very flimsy, Hans wanted me to animate it like that because of Letters from Iwo Jima (the suicide scene)

Our character should legit not use teeth to pull out the grenade pin, it would result you losing one and the grenade would have pin still on.
