Save Yudkow City

Ages ago, Yudkow City was a first attempt at broad-scoped civil engineering projects managed by an Auteur. His ideas were certainly.... new. The city and its population boomed at first; its growth rapid and huge swathes of land devoted to brilliantly effective sustainability initiatives in housing. What had been little more than a village grew into a sprawling regional capital whose greatest issue was that the population was too educated.

But the auteur turned out to be building on a base of glass and under the weight of the city's vast scope, it fractured. Not knowing how to deal with various industries, the auteur declared the still rich oil fields empty and failed to see possible logging and mining ventures just under his nose. Knew green sewage initiatives cost the city huge amounts of money and led to major flooding throughout the city. The new industrial park blocks off much of the city's still ample oil and is a nightmarishly clogged traffic nightmare. Massive terraforming were undertaken to create a new tourist section of the city, yet for all the millions the city invested, the tourists never came. Massive traffic jams and long distances means the garbage and even the dead go ages without being picked up.

And then the auteur jumped ship.

Now the city is in your hands and you must save Yudkow City. How much of Yudkow's oldest communities can be saved... how much should be? Can the old districts be brought up to modern standards or is it time to relocate them and start fresh.
