Vienna Fever: WLB (Wiener Lokalbahn)

This mod is the basic set of the Vienna Lokalbahn to Baden. It contains vehicles of multiple generations.

In 1888, the "Actiengesellschaft der Wiener Localbahnen" was founded in the south of Vienna through the merger of several local tram companies.

The line runs from Vienna city centre (Vienna Opera House) on the tracks of the Vienna tram to the ÖBB railway station Meidling, from there on its own line to the health resort Baden bei Wien about 30 km away. Apart from the initially strong freight traffic (brick transport to the capital), passenger traffic developed quite positively from the beginning, so that new vehicles had to be procured again and again, but after the Second World War also cheap second-hand vehicles had to be purchased. From 1978 on new vehicles of the series 100 (Düwag type Mannheim) were purchased, which are still in use today. From 2000 Bombardier purchased the series 400, which is very similar to the Viennese subway type T/T1.

Today, the Wiener Lokalbahnen successfully operates passenger transport on their "house line" every 7.5 minutes between the Vienna Opera and Wiener Neudorf (in future to Baden) and every 15 minutes to Baden, a public bus company, with WLC, a rail transport company which is active in international rail freight transport.

• WLB 231 / 220 & 300 (1927 - 1946 / 1946 - 1965): Electric railcar of the Wiener Lokalbahn with buffet compartment
  
• WLB 240 & 280 'Type N' (1964 - 1971): After their service on the Vienna Stadtbahn, some Type N railcars were transferred to the Wiener Lokalbahn
  
• WLB 10 & 90 'Kölner' (1970 - 1988 / 1983 - 1993): Electric multiple unit train of the Wiener Lokalbahnen, bought second-hand from Cologne; therefore also known as 'Kölner' in Vienna
  
• WLB 100 (1979 - 2000 / 2000 - 2020): Electric railcar of the Wiener Lokalbahnen
