The AI is basically the same at all tracks. But there are things that just can't be done with current AI. The good tracks are those with a fastest line that is up high. Bristol, Irwindale & Iowa. AI will attempt to pass down low, but very rarely will they go the outside on tracks where the low line is the fastest way around. I obviously make AI line the for the fastest lap time. I tried 1, 2 & 3 AI lines, but they just didn't work. AI crash into each other if there is more than 1 line on the track and the lines are too close to each other. AI never adjust there line when rubber is on track or tyres wear. To many limitations I just can't get around. AI will be just slow on ISI ovals unless you use the Leagues patch which improves AI out of sight. (especially Apple Valley) The mod has a lot to do with AI also. As far as I know very few stockcar mods have AI tuned. The Xfinity mod has had about half the tracks done.
I still haven't tried Irwindale yet so I Can't comment on the functionality of it's AI
