Firechild (Playable)

描述
Now you can play as Firechild! Comes with it's own unique spell, artifact, weapon and a few new animations. Set the enemy field on fire and gain more power with more flaming tiles. It's starting spell Fire Fury can allow it to deal massive damage when there are lots of flaming tiles. While its starting kit is very powerful, it only has 200 max hp. Just like the enemy variant.

Overview:
Weapon: Firechild Blast
Mana: 1
Damage: 30
Scatter flames in a cone shape. Hit enemies leave Flame.

Artifact: Flaming Core
Gain 1 Spell Power per Flame tile. Gain 4 Shield on Flame hit. While Shield is below 100, regenerate Shield per Flame tile

Starting Spells: Ember, Pekay Fire, Combust, Fire Fury (new)

Unique Spell: Fire Fury
Mana: 1
Damage: 20*(4 + (Flame*2))
Unleash a barrage of fireballs 4 tiles ahead. Each Flame tile increases number of shots by 2. Root enemy for 0.5 seconds on hit.

It's tough to get them started, but so much fun. Burn, bitches, burn!

*ahem*

To anyone else that might be interested in trying them out, I found success beelining for the first shop and cycling stock for pacts with +max HP. It's especially handy if you get one whose "negative" effect is fire tiles spawning periodically.

I tried figuring that out but was having trouble. I decided to go with gaining shields as more fire tiles are active. The enemy variant also interestingly takes damage from fire tiles.

Shouldn't he, both as a thematic thing and as a way to farther balance out the 200 HP be immune to damage from fire tiles?

Mods installation can be a bit strange. Try clicking the checkbox of Firechild in the in-game mods menu. Hit install then check character select. If it's not there, go back to the mod menu and click install mods again.

Is this mod just not working right now or am I doing something wrong? I just installed it via workshop, went in game and installed it as well, but I can't seem to find the Firechild anywhere as a choosable character.

This mod here is a textbook example for the phrase "Don't judge a book by its cover". At first I didn't think much of it but I quickly began to enjoy this mod after the first fight.
200 HP? This is fine, just kill them before they get to attack.
