TRUMP: THE GAME

“Live the fantasy! Feel the power! Make the deals!” It’s the lifestyles of the rich and famous with the original 1989 first edition of Milton Bradley’s TRUMP: THE GAME!

Indulge in the restrained 80’s elegance of a completely remastered game board! Black and white marble, tasteful monograms, rose granite, eighties checkerboarding, and gold inlay and stitching are all here, a feast for the eyes… all that’s missing is the gold toilet to sit on!

The Trump Cards have also been completely redrawn, with the back of each one featuring the face of our favorite young, spry New York City real-estate mogul. Central Park has never looked so good.

That face continues on to the Trump dollar bills, in denominations of $10, $50, and even $100 Million! These are custom OBJ mesh objects that the game treats as chips. Stack your money in skyscraper-high piles! But as Trump himself says in the manual as a Trump Tip™, “during the game, try not to reveal your TOTAL cash holdings to your opponents. That way, it will be harder for them to tell if your cash rich or poor.” Such business acumen! Therefore, the table contains hidden zones inside which each player may conceal their bills.

A unique feature of this game are the eight properties that can be bought, sold, and traded. These properties are boxes into which money will be placed, increasing their value. The boxes in this game are Unity AssetBundles imported as bag objects. A little light Lua scripting allows tokens to be placed on the boxes without going inside, while the money chips can. Keeping the tooltips off should keep the contents secret. No peeking!

The “T” game pawns are custom-modeled OBJ-mesh figurines.

Even the Trump Die is a special edition, a Unity AssetBundle with custom normal mapping to really accentuate the monogram.

The game manual is a PDF object reconstructed from a couple of different sources, including Hasbro’s own. In color in many parts!

And of course, as with many of my mods, there’s a recreation of the game box as a bag object.

Finally, as a game background, thrill as your table floats high in the sky above the tennis courts of the Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, FL. It’s as if you’re hovering inside a tasteful lobby painting in 360°.
