"The AKS-74U, a Russian compact carbine based on the AK-74 design with the same creator, Mikhail Kalashnikov. The AKS-74U was originated in the Soviet Union. It carries 30 rounds or 45 (round box magazine) and fires 5.45x39mm. The origins behind the AKS-74U was that it is the shortened version of the AK-74 rifle. The AK-74 was produced in 1974, but the shortened variant wasn't introduced until 1979. The design of the AKS was designed for Soviet military and police force during the late 1970s. It has an advantage, with compact, lightweight and its small size allows the weapon to be carried concealed or in confined spaces which is reliable for as a personal defense weapon for the tank crew, helicopter crew and paratroopers. As of today, despite AK-74M is commonly used by the Russian Armed Forces, AKS-74U is still for certain military branches. And no the AKS has never been considered as a 'sub-machine gun'."

An updated version of Flim-Flam Fadinger Doober's Black Ops AK74U or AKS. It is no longer light grey, instead, I add dark tone for the AKS. I also edit the VMT files by toning down the shine and sounds are also a little bit modified such as added bullet shell drops and rustling noise when reloading just to add some nostalgic. I hope you enjoy the new variant of the AKS.
