Shinya Hashimoto

Shinya Hashimoto was a legendary wrestler and member of NJPW's Three Musketeers in the 90's. Over the course of his career, Hashimoto held the IWGP Heavyweight, NWA World Heavyweight, and Triple Crown Heavyweight Championships.

After being fired from NJPW in 2000, Hashimoto founded Pro Wrestling Zero-One (now Pro Wrestling Zero1).

Hashimoto passed away suddenly of a brain aneurysm in 2005. In his honor, NJPW retired its second version of the IWGP Championship, of which Hashimoto was the first to hold.
