Z-95 Headhunter

The Z-95 Headhunter is a practical rendition of its namesake, which first featured in the 1979 Star Wars Legends novel Han Solo at Star's end, where Han Solo is reported to have wielded it effectively against Corporate Sector Authority fighters. It also made an appearance in the 1991 novel Heir to the Empire, starring as the starcraft of choice for Imperial operative Mara Jade. The Headhunter was one of the most effective starfighters of its day, and was the precursor to the galaxy-famous X-Wing Starfighters employed by the Rebel Alliance against the Galactic Empire.

This rendition of the Z-95 Headhunter is a formidable stunt-fighter: it's thrusters are configured to provide major forward thrust, and a clang-powered backflipper affords the starfighter incredible maneuverability, enough to dique missile turrets and to do split-second course-reversal. A significant crumple zone in the nose provides auto-turret fodder and crash insurance. The Z-95 Headhunter is armed with 2 sheltered reloadable rockets and 10 gatling guns, making it a formidable weapon in any dogfight or skirmish against a star-cruiser.
