Extra Roads with Trolleybus #2 - Large Roads

描述
Set of two large roads with parking spaces and trolleybus.

The roads are modified from vanilla and DLC roads and assets to blend in your city and minimize system impact. All roads include elevated, bridge and tunnel versions. Costs and upkeep slightly increased than the normal version.

Requires Sunset Harbor DLC.


It's recommended to use Loading Screen Mod.

Roads
  • 6L w/ Trolleybus
  • 6L One-Way w/ Trolleybus

You can find the other large road styles in these sets.

Known Issues

Wrong overhead cable connections in intersection of six-lane one-way trolleybus road and other wide trolleybus road: It’s because the game don’t know wide one-way trolleybus cables. Workaround: place the six-lane one-way road first than connect the other wide trolleybus road.

Trolleybuses stuck in intersections: It usually happens when intersections placed too close each other. It is also an issue with default roads included in the DLC. Sometimes updating the road to other model (e.g grass to trees) or rebuilding the intersection solves the problem. Other option is waiting for the devs to patch the DLC.

@barazd, this is really a nice road, thank you for your genius work. I'm wondering if there is a way for trolleybus to turn around elegantly. I now build detour or roundabout to turn trolleybus around, but I think its ugly.

Nevermind... I did it to myself. I was fiddling with TM:PE and made some turn only lanes... oops

This doesn't seem to work as part of a bridge. I have a trolley road that I want to upgrade to 6L, but it has a section that's an overpass. changing that section causes the trolley route to break even though the game seems to acknowledge it as a valid trolley road

It would be great if trolleybuses could use all lanes, at leat the outer 2 and a left turn Version where trolleybuses can use the left lane for turning!

An answer would be appreciated.

Can you do just the same type of roads but with trams? I like the vanilla blend. And now I have more options for trolleybuses but not enough for trams :)

@Sp3ctre18 Yes, I edited the models of wire segments and nodes. The nodes of one-way versions were tricky since the game doesn't support wide one-way roads with trolley...

@meapcity First I'll make the vanilla/DLC roads, after that I may create some new roads but I can't promise it. You should ask the author of an similar existing road to make a trolleybus verson.

Ah, this is the one I was working on lol. I guess you edited the wire model to remove the need for center pillars it is this another model I don't know about?
