One Man Gang

One Man Gang got this start in 1977 and wrestled for several NWA affiliates over the next decade. He wrestled often for WCCW and Mid-South Wrestling before working for the UWF in 1986. Gang won the UWF Heavyweight Chanpionship and held the title for six months before signing with the WWF.

In the WWF, Gang wrestled against top talent like Hulk Hogan, but regularly lost to the major stars. He slid down the card before reemerging as Akeem "The African Dream" in 1988.

Gang left the WWF in 1990 and wrestled on the indy scene off and on for several years, with a few WCW stints in between. He has been retired since 2001, although he has come out of retirement a few times for special appearances.
