Gurrflumfr's Mega-Mod

描述
The basics of what this contains: Skeleton, Pirate, Dwarf, Dragonkin, Spiritkin, and Wench.

Now with new cards, reworked older cards, two factions and noble houses added for Wench, Dwarf, Dragonkin and Skeleton.

Soon to come: Lots of events and story, challenges in Conquest/Adventure mode, and enemies.

So stay subscribed!

Also there's no conceivable way I could possibly test all this stuff out while working on what's to come so if you find issues with cards or especially perks please message me on steam or discord.

Enjoy! This is all for your benefit!

I like it.

The Pirate and Spiritkin I have played so far.

I really like the Privateers' Pistol.
Reminds me of the Pathfinder Skull & Shackles Card Board Game. Lots of fun even without the Pirate Class.

Honestly most of them have fallen behind, there was a balance update several months back and everything here was made before it. It mostly just means they don't have as much depth as regular archetypes but less options means less power. The balance patch generally made everything get stronger. Pirate is strong early game if you know what you're doing but you'll start falling behind in damage very quickly, getting another ship will temporarily help out. Dwarves and Wenches were part of the pirate pack before everything I made merged into this, and they make it much easier to pull off pirate late game. Pirate is basically monk's ancestor. While I think Pirate ended up being slightly more interesting, monk is much more user-friendly.

How is the balance in this mod?

The classes and designs looked cool, but Pirate seemed really strong when I tried it - haven't tried the other classes much yet.

Reworked older cards is a reference to when I nearly doubled the mod's size and rebalanced everything during WfR. The mod is entirely self-contained, so you won't be seeing any conflicts unless there are name overlaps in cards, and I believe Raven actually took this mod's cards into account when naming his to avoid duplicates. It was made in a world before the 'great balanacing' which only means that the archetypes should have slightly less depth (Except in the case of Pirate).

Does this play nice with the latest expansion and the UEP? It's unclear to me if "reworked older cards" means reworking cards from the base game, or if it refers to old versions of card from this mod. Thanks in advance :)

Thanks a lot for the reply.

I was sure that the icons had to be in the game already, because there would be no other way of getting them, but I thought they were maybe leftovers from cut content or something like that, and you used them. But having them officially be added in the game is pretty cool. :steamhappy:

Now that I have the answer to my question I can go and read the modding documentation and maybe take a look at how some mods do things. Then it's time to try something small to ge tteh hang of it... That is, if I can get some spare time, I haven't put this game down yet since I got it.

Thank you for the answer, once again, I really appreciate it.

Awesome! Love to see new modders coming to the game, modding Erannorth is a blast. Steam workshop mods go in your steam workshop files which are separate from the games they're a part of.

Regarding the icons I originally had my own but I do a lot of stuff with Raven (The developer) so we decided to assign official icons to the archetypes regardless of them being part of the base game. There's a certain file in CustomArtworks you can make (I believe it's Archetypes) where you can put in icons for them, at which point you'll want to make sure it's a png and crop it into a circle so it doesn't look out of place. It's in one of the modding tutorials (look at making your own archetypes/races), if you can't find it I'll get the information to you in a few hours.

Thanks for this nice mod. I Liked it, Favorited it and gave it a steam award. I really enjoy it.
I'm loving making characters using these cool new races and class (currently playing a Skeleton Necromancer).

I'm trying to learn basic modding for this game and got a bit confused about the location for the icons for your races and class. I don't see them anywhere in the mod files.

I've been wrecking my head thinking about how you managed to include these icons.
Could you be so kind as to tell me where they are located and how you managed to make them appear for your races and Pirate class?

Turn based RPG, I'm trying to go a little old school with it, I miss those kinds of games and it feels like no one has done it right in the last decade so I figured that'd be a good place to start.

Ah ok thanks for explaining by the way what type of game are you making
