Taskforce Xeno: Alien Invasion Origin

描述
Experience several new Origin stoylines all themed around Alien Invasions of your world just prior to the game's start.



READ ME!!!
If you are using mods that alter ethics or government types this mod may not work, currently it looks like having any mods that radically change the above will break the opening event chain. Future versions of the mod will try to expand compatibility, but right now this is not the case. Please dont post about this in the comments if you use any of these mods.


* New Origin
* Additional Technologies
* Custom general event chain's
* Trait, Ethics and Civics specific options
* New special planetary features / blockers
* Custom assault and defence armies (these are still broken right now, fixing on the next update)


* Experience a create your own Invasion storyline inspired by the XCOM series
* New Technologies, Events and Buildings
* Track down the Invaders and have revenge of make peace (WIP)


[NOTE: Currently this storyline is very WIP, starting event chain is setup but currently its just a few starting malluses / bonuses so really just for RP at this stage]
* Play as a world dealing with the aftermath of the Combine Invasion based on the Half-Life series
* New Technologies, Events and Buildings - NOT YET IMPLEMENTED
* New late game Crisis involving the Universal Union (Combine) - NOT YET IMPLEMENTED

Next Update Planned Features
* Brand new custom storyline based around a major property, with indepth new minigame and peacetime features (90% done, needs some polishing)
* Event chain expanding on hostilities between you and invader (currently just opinion modifier)
* Early game flavor events
* Finally fixing TFX armies not spawning or rebuilding

Long Term Planned Features
* Event chain for post industrial primitives to gain the Taskforce Xeno Origin or Civic under certain circumstances and intergration with current Vannila pre-ftl anti-alien taskforce event chain
* Further franchise specific event chains, Currently short lists are....
- Doom (Mars Demon Invasion)
- System Shock (The Many early game event chain and SHODAN late game crisis, maybe 'War in Hell' with SHODAN rising up if the Contingency appears)
and longer term may add War of the Worlds, Cloverfield, Enders Game, Startide Rising, Starship troopers et. al)

- UI Overhaul Dynamic

Performance and Compatibility
- Torus Ring Corrected 2.6 Integration - Species with the Natural Engineer trait can now start with a Torus Aeternal at the end of the Invasion chain. Must have said installed for the option to appear.
- Every effort has been made to ensure this mod effects performance as little as possible. The vast majority of events are triggered on a yearly pulse, and many other events are triggered via decisions or other events firing.
- No Vanilla files are touched at all, but mods that alter Origin functioning or deposits may conflict?

Known Bugs & Issues
Known Bugs & Issues (Thanks to everyone whos reporting them in the comments!)
- Taskforce Xeno HQ does not allow allow creation of new assault or defense armies
- Need for improvement in event writing and various grammer / spelling errors

Visual Assets
- Many event pictures & lines from Sins of a Solar Empire (amazing game, check it out on Steam store), Half-Life artworks and similar (trying to get a list together to credit artists, I didnt make any of the new artworks and dont claim to)


News / Mod Updates
JAN, 2025 - Unfortunately given my lack of time with life, work and other games I doubt this mod will ever be updated. Comments have been disabled for that reason. Any aspiring mod dev is welcome to take and update this mod, just please leave an attribution link to this page. Cheers.
