Note: some thrusters are hidden and don't require to deactivate thruster damages.

A variant version of the Swift Bird, dedicated to bring people from planet to space. Can leave all known planets/moons with a remaining stock of hydrogen:
- Mars: ~40%
- Alien planet: ~35%
- Earthlike planet: ~25%
- Triton: ~15%

Thrusters: atmospheric, hydrogen (off by default), ion

From my experience a single block of clear zone for atmos is enough. Has worked for me always so I concur with OP.

That said, whoa you're on a roll, Catcher! Enjoyed all of these flying car designs so far! Hope this one has seat warmers, might get awful cold up there with open windows haha

lots of threads seem to indicate that the clear zone would need to be three blocks long but i'd have to make tests for myself to be sure tbh... in your specific case these shouldn't be too problematic as em two aren't that likely to be pushed/used for prolongued periods anyhoo!

From the numerous tests I made and you can do same (on a vanilla game), atmospheric thrusters inflict damages to only one block in front of them.
But maybe I'm wrong?

tlooks like em side atmo thrusters at the back are gonna inflict damage on each other :/ (neat design doe but butts
