Usually that will work, especially with ironman mods.

Greetings, the mod looks very cool! Does anyone know if it's safe to add this mid playthrough?

Some of those errors I can replicate if you are using the ironman mod without the main Better Looking Garbs mod.
Otherwise conflicting mods may be the cause.

I'm having an odd issue - the same as the other guy - where it seems like certain parts of the portraits are applied randomly. A whole bunch of people with glowing red eyes, or the purple love ring, or with the saintly beatified background - despite none of the pre-requisites.

Do you have the blgccironman mod file and directory both copied?

Copied the mod from the submods folder but when activating both this and the main blg mod checksum is changed

The mod should show up as "BLG / CC with ironman achievements". The game probably didn't download it yet. If that fails the submods are also bundled inside the base mod.

Doesn't work for me. Changes the checksum just the same as the base mod does. Also should it have different name in the game launcher? For me it just shows as "Better looking garbs". I haven't installed the base mod

The updated version will start in the default state. You can run the installer again to reintegrate dlc.

correction: i use BLG vanilla (I do not own some unit packs and such) as well as BLG Ironman. Those are the only portrait mods I use. Western european portrait packs (Irish, English/Norman, French, German, Italian, Iberian) are now all blended in a weird italian-ish variation that also bears issues (such as the loss of a trait - say lustful, that used to slightly modify the portrait - now rendering a character oddly locked to baldness (in this case, a woman ruler).
