Game Fails to Launch or Crashes before Main Menu
Begin by verifying the integrity of the game's files. See section [Verify Game Files].

If the problem persists.
Try and set the game's .exe to run as administrator. The .exe should be located in the following directory: ..\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RingRunner with the filename RingRunner.exe.

If the problem persists and you are playing on a laptop with a dedicated video card.
-Nvidia Card: Here is a link about Nvidia Optimus[en.community.dell.com] that will help you make sure the game is getting access to your Nvidia Card.
-AMD Card: Here is a link to a helpful video covering AMD Switchable Graphics.

If the problem persists.
Please try reinstalling the game.

If the problem persists.
Make sure your Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile is up to date. Here is a download link[www.microsoft.com].
Make sure your Microsoft XNA Framework Redistributable 4.0 Refresh is up to date. Here is a download link[www.microsoft.com].

If the problem persists.
Please make sure your graphics drivers are up to date.
Game Crashes When Launching a Mission
If playing on a laptop without a dedicated video card.
Go to Video Options, scroll all the way down to Generate Backgrounds and set to Off.

If playing on a laptop with a dedicated video card.

If not playing on a laptop.

Game Crashes Periodically
Begin by verifying the integrity of the game's files. See section [Verify Game Files].

If the problem persists and you are playing in windowed mode.
Go to Video Options and set Display Mode to Full Screen.

If the problem persists and you are playing in full screen mode.
Go to Video Options and set Display Mode to Windowed Borderless and set Resolution to your monitor's native resolution.

If the problem persists.
Please try reinstalling the game.

If the problem persists.
Please make sure your graphics drivers are up to date.
Verifying Game Files
Go to your game library and right click Ring Runner. Select Properties>Local Files>Verify Integrity of Game Cache.

Once verified, restart Steam and then launch the game from its desktop shortcut.
Unable to join or create new multiplayer match.
This most likely means the region's server is currently under maintenance. Maintenance times are usually less than an hour. You can switch your region in the main menu by clicking Multiplayer>Options>Select Region.

when i play any mission, the ships are invisible

The first time I ran this game, I experienced menu lag, items scrolling in and out very slowly. There were reviews specifically mentioning how smooth the menu is, so I suspected it had to be a problem on my end. I have a few extra devices constantly attached to my PC, one of them being a joystick with a twitchy throttle. After increasing the deadzone on the worn parts of my joystick, the menus became very fluid. Hope this helps with anyone else!

Game won't recognize XBox360 wired controller. But personally I find the A/D turn too clunky and the mouse turn too annoying. Any suggestions?

Just started to play, runs ok when windowed, but its really hard to play due the tiny sprites and the game window is really small and apparently unresizable.

I tried to play on a higher resolution, but changing the resolution while windowed (both normal and borderless) does nothing and the background keeps flickering when in fullscreen.

Also the game stutters every other minute, usually making me fail a challenge or confusing me.

When I launch the game, the screen flashes white. I can hear game music in the background. Verified files, checked .NET and XNA are both up to date. Any ideas?

Hey quick question. I opened it up, and changed my video settings from 1920x1080 windowed to 1920x1080 bordered. It got rid of the window, but it stayed small. Is there a way to fix that?

Problem with homestreaming SteamLink. No Display, only BlackScreen, i can hear the audio but no display. Why? All my other games are running perfect on SteamLink
