gm_darktunnels (adventure map)

The Tunnels Really Are Dark...

This map REQUIRES the UH SWEPS mod that is attached in the workshop page, download it or have no means of defense!
The map screenshots were also taken with dynamic shadows on, if you don't got 'em on, you can paste this into your gmod startup options in steam -force_vendor_id 0x10DE -force_device_id 0x1180 (they take up lots of frames) Sharpening the shadows is done ingame with r_projectedtexture_filter 0.5 (or 0.1)

There are NO checkpoints on this map, difficulty increases (besides the antlion guard) as you progress.
If people want them because it's a bit unfair (I know it is I just don't feel like doing it) then I'll add or upload a version that has restoring checkpoints, I just need a push since I have no want to do such a thing right now.
Also, not made for coop or co-op or chicken coop however it's spelt. You can try if you really wana though.

gm_darktunnels is the biggest project I have finished so far in my mapping journey. You play as somebody doing something for some reason, I dunno. This map originally started as a map testing to see if npcs could be spawned in with weapons from mods and if guns and entities from mods could be placed into a map and compiled. Obviously it worked and then I don't know what happened but yeah, in 5 long months I am proud to say gm_darktunnels is finally complete.

This map is so underrate, i really love the atmosphere in this map it really fit how we are at the bottom of this "Underhell"

good map but in elevator (after train) I cant play because my pc cant handle something, idk what is this but this is so lagy

i downloaded the wrong map but damn how good this horror map was. i decided to roleplay as one of the UH PMC soldiers since you added the UH Sweps, although i am confused about the actual story of the map though.

UPDATE: 9/10 now cause the map is real noice and stuff but the final elevator ride up is overkill and can end your run in seconds. i used the gasmask feature with the UH sweps to become immune to posion headcrabs but that feels ever so slightly cheaty. Not gonna lie the poison headcrab and fast zombie instakill combo is annoying as heck.

this map was too hard for me cant beat it 5/10 good map but needs more healing items placed around or checkpoints so i don't have to commit reload in the console. was fun the first time. less fun the second time. then i started getting frustrated and gave up. made it up to the point where you set off an alarm and get swarmed then gave up.
