Unlife Movie Maps

A collection of Garry's Mod maps made for the Unlife video series (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLznhoGajRiwrq8bqGAgjt7H-utrLexkhN) in 2011 and 2012, now made publicly available due to several requests to do so. Unfortunately it seems that gm_unioncity_streets has been lost for good, as I can't find it anywhere.

WARNING: These maps were intended solely for movie making from the start. Unless you plan to do the same or are just curious to see behind the scenes, they most likely won't have anything interesting for you. They're also from a period when I was still actively learning mapping, so they're not quite the same quality as my more recent works.

This pack contains four maps used in the aforementioned series, listed below:

gm_construct_movie: An evening version of pre-Gmod 13 gm_construct, with some added details and destruction. Used in Unlife: Episode Three. Edited VERY slightly to remove HL2:EP2 dependency.

gm_unioncity_overlook: A small map used in a single scene in Unlife: Episode Three. Requires Counter-Strike: Source.

gm_unioncity_finale: A slightly larger map used in the final two scenes in Episode Three. Has limited HL2 NPC navigation capability, a collapsible smokestack (see screenshots for instructions!) and enough space to fly a helicopter in. Requires Counter-Strike: Source.

gm_zombiesurvival_movie: A bit more detailed map, used in Episode Two. Has rain effects, several explorable interiors and plenty of breakable things, such as windows, barricade boards and even walls and ceilings. Look for round crack marks on surfaces walls, doors and roofs to identify spots that can be breached (some of them are fairly durable; try AR2 alt-fire or something else with high damage to break them).
