Although the theoratical maximum range is your view distance, the effective combat range is much shorter and depends on the targets velocity and size and the gunners aiming.
Larger and heavier targets are esier to hit and your effective combat range increases, therefore this ship is best used against targets equal in size or larger.
Its railgun makes it and effective mid-range attack vessel, but due to its lack of sufficient turrets and maneuvrability, it struggles in short-range combat.
To counter this, you should always keep yourself at effenctive combat range, or fight alongside other ships in a fleet.
