Deepwood

Welcome to Deepwood - a map I made shortly after completing Longridge, but I never released it. I can't remember why I didn't - maybe I felt it needed more work? Who knows, you can be the judge. I honestly can't remember much from when I tested it, so forgive me if I've left any major whoopsies in there!

The inspiration for the map was to be a continuation of the Vanilla maps created by the developers. I wanted to try and recreate their style, but with my own preferred level of challenge which people seemed to enjoy in Longridge. This map, however, is nothing like Longridge. It's much more open to explore, with a lot more freedom to go off trail if you want to - but there are still natural obstacles that may or may not be passable, which will hopefully offer some risk vs reward decisions.

The map only has the random/manual type log collection points that came with The Ridge DLC so you'll need a crane. I did intend to do a clone of the map with auto loading points, with more starting vehicles - a 'casual mode' map. I never got round to it, but if there's much interest I'll see what I can do.

I don't make maps anymore, too busy working and raising a family. I put a lot of time into this so it seems like a waste not to put it out there for anyone looking for something new. If anyone finds any major problems however I will try to fix them.
