Pacific National V8

(I think this is the first V8 reskin in an Australian livery)

Pacific National is a privately-owned railway company that operates freight trains throughout all of mainland Australia. In other words, they operate in every Australian state except Tasmania, which is an island state. The company started under the PN brand in 2002, and was a merger between FreightCorp and National Rail. Curiously their locomotives operate on both 4ft 8.5 inch and 5ft 3inch gauge track. They are also running services on 3ft 6inch gauge in Queensland, and have been doing so since 2005.

This V8 carries the standard PN blue livery, as carried by several diesel locomotives. The specific locomotive this reskin is based on is ex-Victorian Railways S class No. 306.

The number carried by this reskin is that of a real-life GE V8 locomotive. 6382 was also the number of a diesel locomotive in New Zealand - DQ 6382.
