The X-2 Scorpio is a simple battery powered space fighter with ion thrusters and a focus on the moon.


Since the collection was missing a proper ion powered space fighter, I decided to build this one. It's pretty simple and cheap, running solely on battery power. As long as you keep the batteries filled, you won't ever have to worry about fuel and it will fly right away after printing it. It's not super fast, but pretty agile thanks to the large thrusters on the bottom. That also makes it very effective on the moon, without having to fear a crash all the time. With four gatling guns and only light armor it doesn't stand a chance against the much bigger fighters out there, but it's still better than flying around in your suit alone.
The coloring is all greyscale, so you can change it very easily by adjusting the color of the lights and LCDs. The LCDs are also the only dlc blocks, you can replace them with text panels or just windows if you don't have the dlc.
The general shape of the fighter was inspired by the Winox Fighter.

This ship has atmospheric thrusters and is not suitable for space as suggested!!!!!

Thanks for the response. Even though I'm still relatively new to SE I've managed to generate a couple of unfinished things myself. I'm sure I'll get back to them eventually ...........

so, Vector thrust 2? Maybe modular like https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1540800137&searchtext=SDS this one. Also, do you think you could make a turret like the one on Black armors enforcer? (hidden turret) cause if you could do that that would be cool, like the nano. I know! Like the LAAT! Modular too! Idk, but just an idea, thanks for being my fav Author .

This one is colored in the carbon fibre texture mostly and the non-armor blocks are mostly the clean default skin I think, nothing fancy tbh.
I've been thinking about making a dropship, a bit like these two , but I haven't really figured out a working prototype yet.
