描述
Built by Spiff's Practical Engineered Solutions, a division of the Weyland-Yutani Corporation, the Iota emergency shelter was found as a derelict in a seldom-traveled region of space. The salvage crew that found the uncrated and unassembled prototype lifeboat believed that WYC lost it due to an unexpected mishap; the truth may never be known.

This low-cost build is meant as a basic stater base, and includes flight capability for final positioning. This build is fully intact and pristine because it came directly out of storage. Iota emergency shelter includes a basic refinery and basic assembler, and has fully equipped facilities for three people, including three cryo chambers.

Add or remove components as desired to achieve the effect you need for your scenario.

Hey, thanks for the encouragement. I need to get back in the saddle again building more remote stations (Kappa is next). They're fun little critters, although some of my later ones, with the exception of Iota, were getting a bit bigger than I originally intended. I like Iota a lot because I was able to cram a lot into a small space.

Oh you're the maker of that ore ship I love, I love this station to, for a quick set up for first time playing it's nice when I'm still unsure what to build.

This one I tried to make fairly compact for a single person. I started with a 1-block wide configuration that then transitioned into the corners...way too small. Then I tried the current 3-block wide configuration and it seemed too big (for what I was trying to accomplish). Finally, I tried a 2-block wide configuration and it was just right...however...even block widths never work well in SE unless you want everything sort of lopsided. So I used this configuration and it worked well to shoehorn in places for 3 people. I always try to fit 10 gallons of crap in a 5 gallon bucket. It's just what i do... :)
