I found the original research values to be very spikey, haphazard, and grueling.

This mods smooths out the research tree while also making total tree research between 20%-40% cheaper depending on which tree.

The total value of the trunk research tiers (the middle research options) stays roughly the same while the branch research tiers are significantly cheaper (roughly 75% of the trunk cost that it branches from).

In a typical playthrough it made sense to skip most of the branches since better research later would render them obsolete and they typically cost more than the next branch value. This change makes experimenting with most branches less punishing if you fall behind on total research as well as making the overall research feel more consistant.
