If you are someone who loves to use custom playable characters, you may know that almost all of them have bad relationships with main menu Player NPC. But with this mod all the problems will go away and you'll always be able able to see Hat Kid and Bow Kid. No more broken animations, wrong meshes and messed up materials!
If you have a config option enabled, the new save screen may have Bow Kid appearing instead of Hat Kid. However, due to save data not existing, Bow Kid will have Hat Kid's body, legs and hat, which is unfixable, but kinda funny.

Yeah, a small thing I added - whenever it's on "New Save" screen, the mod generates a random value to decided which Kid will be on the screen.
But since there's no save data, the game gives Bow Kid Hat Kid's clothes since Hat Kid is the default character.

Are you talking about no-save screen Bow Kid that wears Hat Kid's Outfit?

Would there be a way to check the head mesh post assigning it? it may look a tad messy at first at least till the HK bodies removed but for bowkid it would only be one singular check i recon

That was my idea of randomizing character on the no-save screen. Since there is no info fetching from save file Bow Kid uses Hat Kid's outfit. If devs will acfually fix titlescreen they'll probably fix it for all players, even the custom ones.

I hope at some point somebody finds a way to fix the Bow Kid getting Hat Kid's body issue in the title screen. Surprised the devs haven't fixed that yet.
