Takao Omori

Takao Omori has worked for AJPW, Noah, Zero-1, and NJPW over the course of a long wrestling career that began with AJPW in 1992.

For several years, Omori's greatest successes were in tag team divisions, and he captured tag titles in AJPW, Noah, and NJPW.

Omori initiall had left AJPW in 2000, and after returning to the roster in 2011, he begain gaining momentum as a singles star. In 2012, he won the Champion Carnival and went on to defeat Jun Akiyama for the then-vacant Triple Crown Championship. Prior to winning the title, Omori had been successful again in the tag division alongside Manabu Soya as Get Wild.

Omori lost the title only a few weeks later, but the day before losing the belt to Suwama, he and Akiyama, as Wild Burning, won the World Tag Team Championships. The duo would go on to win those titles three times, matching the three tag titles won as a member of Get Wild.

Omori was named to the AJPW Board of Directors in 2016, and he still wrestles for the promotion on occasion.
