Mil Muertes

Mil Muertes is one of the alter-egos of Gilbert Cosme, who also wrestles as Ricky Banderas, El Mesias, and Gilbert el Boricua.

The Mil Muertes gimmick started on the first season of Lucha Underground. Muertes' family was said to have been killed in an earthquake when he was only seven years old.

After losing a Grave Consequences match to Prince Puma, Muertes was resurrected by Catrina and returned to defeat Puma for the Lucha Underground Championship on the season finale. Muertes eventually lost the title to Matanza during season 2.

When wrestling outside of Mexico and Puerto Rico, Cosme still uses the Mil Muertes gimmick.
