DEPRECATED







Originally conceived as locomotive-hauled coaching stock, the first coaches built were for the prototype HST in 1972. Production coaches entered service between 1975 and 1988, and multiple-unit designs based on the Mark 3 bodyshell continued to be built until the early 1990s. Most of the surviving fleet of the Mark 3 and its derivatives are still in revenue service on the British railway network in 2019.

Variants include standard class (TSO), buffet (RFB) and sleeper (SLEP).

Capacity: 22 (including sleeper and buffet cars)

@stephan_bvb Had a look in the .mdl file, noticed that the availability setting for the base mark 3 coach looked like this:

availability = {
yearFrom = 0,
yearTo = 0,
},

Changed the yearFrom value to 1975 to match the other coach variants, and that stopped them showing up too early, was probably just an oversight by the Author.

what do you reconmend I do now, with no class 43 to fully utilize the potential of theese passenger cars?

I love these coaches but could you reduce operating costs just a little bit? These are very expensive to operate!

Stil not begin and end year avaible at 1850 and at the moment no passenger could use them

Lovely work, beautifully done, thank you. Seconded RE firstly getting some first class reskin done, then maybe a MK3 DVT would be a great addition to these, as would a class 43.

Yer I just edited them to the RL capacity so I have the TSO at 296 in game thats 74. cost of 1.2m and running cost of 150k.

@MadMac392 I've set the capacity to 88 (22 in game) for all variants, as I feel 18/19 in game capacity is too low - setting it to 44 in game would only give a capacity off 11!
