A repack of Commander's Choice with class limiting merged in from Xylth's GTS. With default ini settings you can pick one of three classes for the newly promoted rookie.

This was designed for Long War 2 to provide better control over the starting rookies but not to make it too easy by letting you make perfect soldiers.

Please note this is not an addition but an ALTERNATIVE to Commander's Choice - They will not work together. It will however (and is recommended to) work alongside Xylth's GTS - WotC version: https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1964389954

I do not claim either of these, I merely installed a zipper between them.

@silveressa, is there any chance the number before config, presumably the mod ID number, can be different? i'm running the mod and its working but i cant find that number in xcom mod files.

@kyloben89 (and anyone else that wants to change the number of class options:

Navigate to your steam workshop install file Config folder

X:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\1942730184\Config

Open the XComRookiesChoiceWotC.ini file with notepad

At the end of the file on line six find the entry "MaxChoices=3"

Change the 3 to 7 (or whatever number of class options you desire)

Save the file and exit notepad.

Hey, amazing mod but I was wondering, Xylth's GTS shows current soldiers in barracks and available of the class when you are selecting what class to train a rookie in the GTS. Is there any way to integrate that into this mod, or is that something that only works on the GTS?

If somebody wants to have the Stats panel with this mod, just subscribe to [WOTC] Stats on New Promotion Screen (if you haven´t already) and add to its Config/XComUI.ini:
+DisplayMappings=(ScreenClass="UIChooseClass_RookiesChoiceWotC", PositionProfile="PawnRight")
