Russian Far Eastern Coast

This map represents the terrain of the Russian Far Eastern Coast, north of Vladivostok, with its many glacial valleys and rivers.

Your oblast straddles two landmasses, the high mountains of Siberia in the west, and the low laying swamps and tidal pools of Sakhalin Island, taken from the Japanese after the war. The harsh landscape offers many challenges for our development plans, but the rich rewards promised by the bountiful oil and coal deposits make development here worthwhile. The populace is spread out over a huge area, with little more than dirt tracks winding through the valleys to connect them. Building a workforce here will require immigration, and vastly improved infrastructure! To help, we have set up trade stations on both landmasses.
