Here is the beloved by phobes: No Spiders for Alpha 12! I think I got all of them but I haven't checked everything, pois like always are not included in this first sweep so beware. I've only roughly checked it but it should be good to go.

Spiders have been replaced by Night Raptors available day and night. ;)

POI traps have not been checked, it is unknown if new pois have spiders, please list any that do.

If someone could unpack the models file and repackage it with new models that replace the spiders model but keep their file name (I don't know if there are more checks, like filesize/etc), it might work. But it won't be me. I don't think that is necessary at this point because there are still ways to modify the spawns.

I think if you edit the default playfields that are used to generate systems, it can still be done.
I've been digging around in the files making a new scenario and I think I just figured out how to do it, but it will take some time. I'll see what I can do.

f, well do you think there is a way to not make spiders look like spiders? like how people edited the frostbite spiders in skyrim to look like spiderman

After a little bit of exploration I have found that it is likely impossible/impractical to make an A12 scenario 100% spider free as of A12 onward. The updates they have implemented into the game put all of the systems into a database and they are generated on the fly by the game. So there is literally no way you can modify the spawns of each sector as you use to, because sectors are "unlimited" in the sense that the playfield yaml files are not accessible until you visit all of the galaxy systems (which would require in-game teleporting to everything possible to generate the files needed to edit) and is thus not feasible like it use to be (before I could generate systems and have immediate file access to all the playfields, now they are not generated until visited which means they are hidden from editing and generated by decentralized integrated data).

I might put a new version out soon.
I haven't checked what the devs have done since so not sure.
Last time I made this scenario they had changed spawns from text files into bin files and had to edit those as well which meant a lot more effort involved in cleaning up spawns. If they've added a database system that might mean modifying that too, don't know yet. Also, the Solar System Generator doesn't work anymore, so it makes it a lot less convenient, time costly and less user friendly to make a scenario.

A12.2 compat? or would i have to wait for a new version? im ok with spiders but my friend got the game and he is an arachniphobe, but he doesnt know there are spiders...yet

Update... I was able to modify the Sectors.yaml file to get all systems within range and it's working properly (so far) on both SP local game and our MP Server.

Hi Guys, I love playing this Scenario, but have run into a Snafoo with the advent of Multi System Galaxies. A lot of the jumps between Star systems, are over 500 AU and CV's can't warp to a majority of the systems.
Is there a work-around or a fix to shorten those out of reach of a CV?
or, is there another mechanism intended to be used to go beyond 500 AU (Teleporter maybe)?

Thanks for making this. Given that spiders can still spawn from certain POIs... does anyone know the names/types of POIs to avoid like the plague?
