Although Cidiosaurus is not originally the product of natural selection, sexual dismorphs have been allowed to produce due to some of the animal's base genomes. Some gender-based stat differences may also be adapted in the future

Description:

Cidiosaurus meaning "Strike Lizard", is not a naturally occurring species of animal. It is a genetic hybrid of various genomes, namely Herrerasaurus, Deinonychus and Allosaurus. Military operation was the intent behind this predator but they would seem to no longer be purposed for such. The origins of Cidiosaurus being present on the island are unknown.

As it's name suggests, Cidiosaurus is specialized in performing "strike" type maneuvers. It's long fore-claws give it massive leverage over most close-quarters targets, doubling as both grappling tools or slicers that act similarly in function to that of a karambit. Unlike most other theropod dinosaurs, Cidiosaurus has a large range of flexibility over it's arms, being able to rotate its elbows and wrists. These features combined with its incredibly high speeds allow it to inflict massive damage.

Should you tackle a Cidiosaurus, you'll want considerable backup as they tend to hunt in packs. The creature gains considerable morale with every member, and outrunning a hungry pack of Cidiosaurus is a near impossibility. Should these animals be too threatening for a survivor to tackle, its best to avoid their preferred territories; temperate forest and some of the island's torrid zones.


Gameplay:

Taming a Cidiosaurus may require strategy, as the following may up the difficulty in securing one;

• Cidiosaurus are found primarily in large numbers
  
• They have a fast draining torpor
  
• Cidiosaurus may flee when it feels overwhelmed, and may do so at considerable speeds
  
• Some traps that work on smaller species are largely inefficient versus Cidiosaurus

Cidiosaurus, once successfully tamed, prove to be quite loyal members of one's posse. They specialize in group fights, and are exceptional at harassing their targets. Riders will be granted access to a powerful maneuver during full sprints, in which the Cidiosaurus may extend both arms out to its sides and graze any opponents who near it.

• Primary Attack: Bite (default LMB)
  
• Secondary Attack: Claw (default RMB, attack changes when sprinting. Sprint attack may be disabled by engaging RMB a second time)
  
• Pack Roar: default C (requires 4 pack members)
  
• Aesthetic Roar: X press (makes it look tough hurr!!! (????)?????)

Cidiosaurus prefer specialized kibble and their eggs may be used to produce it.
